Montréal, Canada, July 2, 2015 – Introspect Technology, a MIPI Alliance Contributor Member and maker of innovative products that address the entire multi-Gbps test and measurement instrument experience, today announced it was named a finalist in UBM Canon’s EE Times and EDN Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Awards (http://ubm-ace.com) for the Design Team of the Year category.

Introspect’s development team behind the SV3C Combo MIPI D-PHY/C-PHY Tester was selected for innovation, perseverance, and the creation of a truly remarkable product. Developed to support a dual-roadmap development strategy in the mobile CPU, camera, display, and sensor landscape, the SV3C is the only tool in the industry that offers the capability to understand the global operating limits of MIPI devices and measure their real-world analog performance. Through an open software scripting paradigm, it can be used to transmit MIPI-compliant data packets with varied digital formats across complete (multi-channel) communications links, inject both physical-layer and protocol-layer impairments for conformance stress testing, and interoperate with a myriad of devices. Adaptability to the rapidly evolving MIPI protocol space is a key differentiator for this product and a fundamental enabler for the entire industry since it allows corporate adopters of the MIPI Alliance specifications to de-risk capital equipment investiture.

“Perhaps most remarkable about this product is its consistent ability to elicit emotions of endearment and joy from its users,” said Dr. Mohamed Hafed, Introspect CEO. “The company continues to receive accolades from the user-base with remarks such as ‘genius.’ It is our belief that such user-experience feedback – from any product and not necessarily a test product – is generally only achieved when the product development process itself is extremely passionate about its goals, and this is why the Introspect R&D team has been selected as finalist for the Design Team of the Year Award,” he continued.

EE Times and EDN ACE Awards are presented in 23 categories and are judged by a blue-ribbon panel of industry experts, comprised of the leading voices of academia, industry executives and content experts. The judges will choose winners in all categories with the exception of the Jim Williams Contributor of the Year and Lifetime Achievement awards which are presented.

“Congratulations and a sincere ‘thank you’ to all our award finalists for the inspiration you continue to provide to the electronics industry at large each and every day,” said Suzanne Deffree Executive Editor, EDN. “Each year our awards program showcases the unique best-of-breed products and technologies, as well as companies and individuals that have influenced our industry. The 2015 finalists are leaders in terms of creativity and passion, as well as execution of the progressive thinking that has allowed electronic engineering to permeate almost every aspect of our day-to-day lives. It will be tough to pick those final winners but we look forward to announcing them at this year’s ACE Awards during the Embedded Systems Conference!”

The Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Awards celebrate the creators of technology who demonstrate leadership and innovation in the global industry and shape the world we live in. These creators, and their innovations, will be recognized at the EE Times and EDN ACE Awards ceremony on July 21st, 2015, as part of the Embedded Systems Conference. The Ultimate Product category awards are presented and sponsored by Platinum sponsor Mouser Electronics and the Jim Williams Contributor of the Year award is sponsored by Linear Technology Corporation.
