Introspect ESP, or IESP, provides engineers and test professionals a user-friendly interface for developing and verifying high-speed digital and mixed-signal algorithms. Voted by the Test and Measurement World community as the “Best in Test” upon its inaugural release, this advanced IDE was welcomed by our user base as the original leading-edge measurement automation and test instrument interface for advanced high-speed digital devices and systems, due to its ability to strike a perfect balance between performance, flexibility and ease of use.
The software presents a development environment that enables the creation of custom applications, yet it also comes with built-in apps for common tasks and established technologies. Over the years, IESP has continued to evolve, and it now adds screaming performance and integration possibilities that allow both Introspect customers as well as third-party application users to quickly and accurately set up development and test projects without requiring advanced programming or scripting skills.
Version 3.6, just released and available for purchase, now supports USB3 connections to Introspect Technology equipment. It also offers expanded pattern handling capabilities with support for both 64-bit and 32-bit Windows platforms.
The latest customer benchmarks have shown up to 100x increases in processing speed over our previous generation software.
In addition, recent benchmarks on automated test applications such as receiver stressed eye validation and receiver jitter tolerance testing have demonstrated performance improvements that range up to 10x over existing in-house or legacy solutions at customer sites.
Other notable features now available with IESP 3.6 include:
• Availability of a control panel utility for enabling the creation of custom GUI implementations
• Interoperability with LabVIEW via shared Python libraries from the IESP runtime environment
• Added image processing utility functions as well as various programming utilities
